Commercial and Business Law

In the frenetic whirlwind that epitomizes today's commercial litigation, our business clients need lawyers who will respond quickly to satisfy their individual legal needs. Complex commercial litigation typically requires the ability to manage vast storehouses of documents. Secrest Wardle has committed the resources necessary to ensure the Commercial Practice Group's technological readiness.  This state-of-the-art expertise has enabled the Commercial Practice Group to defend high-exposure claims involving multiple claimants, complex legal issues, and literally millions of pages of material.

The Commercial Practice Group is ready to respond to situations ranging from business organization to lawsuit avoidance.  Yet, when necessary, the litigation skills of this specialty practice group allow it to prevail in even the most difficult cases.

The Commercial Practice Group's attorneys represent commercial and business clients in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration forums.  We have litigated business and commercial disputes involving:

  • Commissions
  • Construction
  • Contracts
  • Partnership and LLC issues
  • Property tax assessments

  • Shareholder derivative matters
  • The Consumer Protection Act
